I was so excited to try “Enchanted Vibrations” today. This is a new service by Angi DeMatteis, Reiki Master Teacher/Crystal Healer.
The Enchanted Vibrations service includes Reiki Energy, Chakra Singing Bowls, and Ocean Drumming to help relax you into Healing Meditation. A hot cup of Herbal Tea is served with her recap of messages from the Chakra Singing Bowls afterwards.
Angi is a Reiki Master Teacher with a deep passion for sharing energy work. Helping others connect their mind, body and spirit through spiritual healing, growth and development. I’ve known Angi for a few years now and always feel like I am in good company when I am in her presence. She started off the session with the Chakra Singing Bowls. That is what the guides called on her to start first in my session. Singing bowls can have a powerful positive impact on the chakras. She told me the bowls led her to the Root Chakra, the Solar Plexus Chakra and the Sacral Chakra during my session. The Throat Chakra was making an appearance a bit as well. Singing bowls possess the ability to realign or heal chakras. This is because each of these energy centers has a “unique vibrational frequency.” These frequencies can interact with the vibration frequencies that are created when playing a singing bowl. Like any musical instrument, Tibetan singing bowls rely on friction and vibration, like striking or rimming the bowl with a mallet, to create sound.
She then moved onto the Reiki portion of the Enchanted Vibrations session. If you are not familiar with Reiki, it is a form of therapy relating to energy healing. Proponents say that it works with the energy fields around the body and involves the transfer of universal energy from the practitioner’s palms to the client. Energy can stagnate in the body where there has been physical injury or even emotional pain. In time, these energy blocks can cause illness. Energy medicine aims to help the flow of energy and remove blocks. Reiki channels universal energy known as ki, pronounced “chi.” This is the same energy involved in tai chi exercise.
The third part of the Enchanted Vibrations session was the Ocean Drumming. The ocean drum is a percussion instrument that can produce soothing ocean sounds. They actually originated in Nepal, a land-locked country in the Himalaya and a long way from the sea. The intention was, however, to imitate the sound of water. The ocean drum is held by the frame, with the heads horizontal, and played by rolling the wrists so the drum gently tilts in all directions. The metal beads inside roll over the bottom head like water rolling over the shore. Different speeds produce different sounds and intensities in volume. Stopping and starting suddenly creates crashing wave sounds. When played skillfully, and with a good quality instrument, a player can create the impression of water on the beach or water running in a creek. Sometimes people also experience the sound as wind.
During the ocean drumming, I felt that I was transported into 3 different timelines in my life. There was a message in each one to recall all of the past versions of myself and to honor each of those. The first one was myself as a young child and it felt so vivid. I remember blowing into a boxed fan talking and making silly sounds and laughing. The second one was when I was in my 20’s and living in South Florida. I feel like I transported onto the beach in Ft. Lauderdale where I spent a lot of time when I lived there. The 3rd version was me as a mother with my 2 children. We were playing at Lake Erie in Cleveland on the beach. It was really interesting to recall all of these versions of myself and how they were so different and it brought me to the present moment. The crazy part was even though life hasn’t been easy and I have had some tragic experiences, all of these visions were so blissful. It felt as if I was being guided to let go of any past negative perceptions of my life so that I can be free from anything that may be holding me back and to be grateful for what has lead me here today.
After the session ended, Angi brought me a cup of Herbal Tea from The Ohio Tea Company. We talked about the downloads and the messages she received from the Chakra Singing Bowls. I left feeling relaxed yet invigorated, and inspired to take on my day.
