The Sky Level Terrace was open to the public for the evening, a first of its kind, Pro Football Hall of Fame event. Local DJ for Q92, Nikolina was spinning hits before the show at the Sky Level Terrace Party and I was the photographer for the evening.
After the rooftop party, I walked next door to Umstattd Performing Arts Hall for the main event. The opening act for LeeAnn Rimes was local singer-songwriter, Marina Strah from Cleveland. Her influences infuse blues & pop with catchy lyrics, unforgettable melodies, and an energetic personality. Strah’s first big step out into the industry was in 2014 when she was named the winner of the 2014 Ohio’s Got Talent contest. Shortly after, she went on to win an international cover contest hosted by RyanSeacrest.com. After these contests helped to gain attention and exposure, Strah was named one of cleveland.com’s most interesting people of 2015.
I didn’t get a chance to watch Marina’s whole set because I had to head backstage to photograph the meet and greet with LeeAnn. The opportunity with about 20 or so people. LeAnn was so sweet to everyone and signed some autographs as well. She even commented on my arm tattoo and my outfit.
Two-time Grammy Award-winning artist, LeAnn Rimes takes the stage for her acoustic concert. Rimes is the second major country music act announced for Canton. She sang some of her hits such as “Blue”, “How Do I Live” and more! Rimes has had 12 songs on Billboard’s Hot 100 list, including “How Do I Live,” which peaked at No. 2 in 1997, and she has sold more than 37 million albums across the world.
The songs were stripped down and re-imaged in a whole new way. She performed some covers of some of her favorite artists. She even pulled out “Purple Rain” by the late Prince.
